About Us

Our Commitment to You

My basic premise as a practicing physician is that I cannot take good care of my patients without taking good care of their data. And I cannot contribute good research without taking good care of people. My care of each patient starts with respect for individuality.

Individuality and privacy are the keys to this Website's commitment to you. Our expectation of you as an anonymous participant is that you accurately share the details of your story. If you do, we hope that together we can overcome the limitations of the label "autism" that covers a perplexing variety of symptoms and strengths that are far more complex than the defining problems of communication, behavior and social interaction. Even "Autism Spectrum" scarcely begins to offer a useful metaphor to individuals seeking answers.

This Website's promise is a scientifically valid, statistically reliable tool for capturing not your label but your symptoms, exposures, life events, lab tests, and strengths. With those details that define you as an individual, we match you to groups of others with whom you can share reports of failure or success to guide your quest for effective treatment options.

Please read our Terms and Conditions of Use ("Terms and Conditions") and Privacy Policy and join us only if you agree with our spirit of mutual respect.

Sidney MacDonald Baker, MD, Founder.
